Prosciutto Wrapped Baked Brie Rolls – the appetizer we all want the most this holiday season! These cute festive rolls are quick, easy, and incredibly delicious. Slices of creamy Brie cheese wrapped up in salty prosciutto and flaky store-bought puff pastry. Each pastry roll is baked until deeply golden on the outside and melty inside. The prosciutto even gets a little crispy! A deliciously popular appetizer that’s perfect for holiday entertaining and always a crowd favorite!
We’re down to the very final days leading up to Christmas Eve and Christmas festivities. So much excitement is in the air! With the hustle and bustle that’s taking place right now, I know the recipes we need most are quick dishes, sides, salads, simple cookie recipes, and appetizers to serve our hungry holiday guests!
Whenever I’m entertaining at Christmas, no party is complete without a baked Brie appetizer. It’s a holiday must-have, must-make.
Everyone loves melty Brie!
I shared a recipe for prosciutto-wrapped brie in pastry a couple of years ago. It’s since become one of my personal favorites, I make it all the time. My family loves anything wrapped up in prosciutto.
While I was in New York last week thinking up our very last holiday recipes, I wrote this idea down, and it stayed in my thoughts for days. I was so excited to return this past weekend to make these rolls! I knew they would turn out good, but they were even better than I pictured!
Step 1: slice the brie and wrap in prosciutto
Pick up your favorite wheel of Brie from the grocery, then slice it up into eight slices. Ideally, try to use a 12-ounce wheel of Brie. And there’s no need to peel away any of the rind. Leaving the rind on will ensure the yummy Brie bakes up nicely inside each pastry without too much mess.
Now, take thin slices of deli prosciutto and wrap a single slice around a slice of Brie. The idea is to mostly cover the slice of Brie.
Step 2: the pastry
Take your sheets of thawed-out puff pastry and cut each sheet into 4 squares to make a total of 8 squares.
Spread each square with fig preserves or use honey, whatever you prefer. Add the prosciutto-wrapped Brie and some freshly cracked black pepper.
Step 3: baking
Now, you can brush the pastries with a beaten egg and add a sprinkle of coarse sugar. This step isn’t needed, but it makes the pastry really sparkle. It’s fun for the holidays and adds such deliciousness too.
Then just throw the brie rolls in the oven, and you’re done.
When the pastries come out of the oven, serve them immediately. I like to drizzle them with honey, top with thyme, and then put some pomegranate arils on the side for festive color. Plus, I think these additions are delish.
It’s hard to describe just how good these rolls are. The prosciutto really adds a savory saltiness that pairs so well with the rich Brie. And the honey on top just sweetens the deal.
Make a few batches for everyone to enjoy. These will certainly be the most popular app on the table!

Hey Lisa,
Happy Monday!! Thanks a lot for trying this recipe out and your feedback! Love to hear it turned out well! Thanks for making so many recipes for your family! xT
These are delicious!! I think I will make them a little smaller next time so it is more of an apppetizer or finger food size. But 2 large ones were a delicious dinner for me!
Thank you so much for trying out the recipe! Hope you’re having an awesome weekend! 🙂 xT
Really enjoyed this recipe at our Super Bowl gathering! I think like Erin, when I make it again as an appetizer I will make them smaller so that they are more of “finger bites”.
Hi Sandra,
Thanks a bunch for making this recipe and your comment! So glad to hear it turned out well for you! xT
Made these as an appetizer to take to friends homes for dinner. They were so beautiful. What a simple yet delicious appetizer to make. Another hit!
Than you for trying out these rolls! So glad you loved them! xT
I love these! The tasty blend of fig jam, proscutto and brie is really good! And they are substantial, I’m having one with a cup of herbal tea as we speak. Because I use a Breville combination convection/toaster/air fryer oven, and after the first time I made these, I now skip the egg wash and extra sugar (tendency to burn), I keep the jam more towards the center, (same reason), I reduced the temp to 375 and still baked 15-20 minutes. Things cook a little faster in this oven. I like these better than a whole brie wrapped in pastry, for ease of eating.
Thank you SO much! Always love to hear when a recipe is a success! Hope you have an amazing New Year! xT
