That’s not Mexican food, you’re using our culture, heritage, too make money you’re an imposter, we Mexicans don’t want or need you to promote our food, stay in your lane
While I enjoy the recipe round ups, it really concerns me that you have received feedback over and over for several years about your language and concerns of cultural appropriation, yet you continue to engage in these behaviors. My understanding is that you are a privileged white woman who is advertising “Mexican recipes”. Unless you have lived experience or connection to Mexican culture, you do not have the right to develop and profit off Mexican “inspired” dishes and label these as something they are not. It’s very hard to continuing using your recipes when you’ve clearly made no efforts to address the feedback provided to you, often on the shoulders of marginalized groups.
I guess you should stop reading the recipe round ups then.
Keep doing you, Tieghan 🙂 love from Cleveland.
I’m not going to ignore unchecked cultural appropriation, especially when she blatantly ignores any feedback she receives. And please, don’t keep “doing you” at the expensive of marginalized populations- the last thing this world needs are more privileged ignorant white people.

Lauren, you took the words right out of my mouth! I’m aways amazed how people are an authority on mexican food & their not mexican & tell people how to make it knowing fully well they just copied it or read from another mexican chef/cook & maybe changed somethings. Thanks for speaking up👍.
I LOVE these recipe roundups on Fridays ❤️❤️ Please keep this up!
Thanks so much, Lauren! Glad to hear you have been enjoying them! xT
