Happy Memorial Day weekend! This is always such a fun weekend. To me, it signals the start of summer. Nothing beats the feeling of summertime days! What are your plans for this weekend?
No special plans over here. I’m just praying the weather holds up, and it doesn’t snow, but it is in the forecast. Memorial Day weekend is not what people from out of town expect. But then, sometime around the second week of June, the weather finally turns, and beautiful summer weather arrives. We’re a little behind the rest of the US, but as my brother just said to me, “You live at the top of a mountain at 9300 feet, summer’s going to come a little later.”
Ahhh, he speaks the truth.
Anyway, I hope you all have the most fun plans! BBQs, pool parties, time in the sun, and, of course, menus full of only the best summertime food!
I’m finally finishing things up around here, which is so exciting! It’s been a very, very long spring. Now that my big project is completed, I’m looking forward to a summer of travel for work. Hopefully, lots of warm weather and humid nights ahead. I miss those hot and humid summer nights!
This week was great! I got to spend some time with Asher, which is always my favorite. She’s literally my best friend. We have the most fun just chatting about clothes or gossiping. She’s always looking to help me out, too, so having her around really is the best!
I spent the week cooking, and I’m looking forward to a busy week ahead. We’re working on a handful of really exciting projects and launches—so much fun!

I got cottagecore, which is pretty far off from my style. I love simple, clean, neutral, calm, and pops of vintage elements or color. But still had fun with the quiz! What did you get?

everything in my cart (low)…loving these fun Brinker + Eliza shell earrings. How cute for summer vacation days?
From Zara, this lace slip dress is pretty and would be great on warm summer nights. Also, I love this open back knit midi dress. I always love a beautiful back detail on a dress.
listening to…this is so random, but Will Smith. Miami is honestly the best song, then I just kept listening through the playlist. I skip through a good amount of the songs, but there are some gems on this album.
shopping…the Elsa x Heavy Manners swim collection. Every single suit is SO CUTE. Asher and I are obsessed. My favorite suite is the ‘Diet Mountain Dew’ Double String Top and ‘Diet Mountain Dew’ High Cut Full Bottoms. But there isn’t a suit here that I don’t love.
dreaming of going to…the Rosewood Schloss Fuschl in Hof bei Salzburg, Austria. This gorgeous hotel does not open until July, but that makes it even more exciting! The photos look stunning. have to go… to The Vineta Hotel, Palm Beach, Florida. Opening this fall! MY DREAM. So pretty. I love Palm Beach.
ordering…the Flamingo Estate Spicy Strawberry Fruit Snack. This in a cocktail/mocktail will be so good. I’m loving shopping around on Flamingo Estate. They have the best honey, vinegar, olive oil, and clean burning candles. Ohhh, and look how pretty these flowers are. I would be so excited to receive their Weekly Bloom Bundle. I want those dahlias!
listening to…Why Metabolic Dysfunction is Ruining Our Health and What to Do About It with Stanford MD, Dr. Casey Means. I highly recommend listening to this. So much information on our healthcare system.
everything in my cart (beauty)…Sofia Coppola’s new tinted lip balm collaboration with Augustinus Bader. This Forbes article discusses the collaboration. Speaking of Augustinus Bader, I need to get more of their body cream. It’s SO GOOD.
And everyone continues to talk about Dieux Skin’s Instant Angel moisturizer. Have you ordered it yet?
Loving the Kosas Plump + Juicy Lip Booster Buttery Treatment. This is an incredible product. It really does plump the lips up!
watching…Because I Said So. It showed up on Amazon (it’s from 2007) but I’d never seen it before. It’s a cute, an easy to watch rom-com.
traveling…10 Coastal Destinations That Look Straight Out of a Nancy Meyers Movie. Read this if you’re looking for somewhere within the US to travel to this summer. On my list are Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and Newport, Rhode Island.
burning…the Maison Lous Marie jasmine candle and No. 10 Aboukir Candle. These scents both sound wonderful for summer. Ordered!
everything in my cart (high)…these very simple yet chic Chanel thong sandals.
wanting…to play tennis, mainly because I love the outfits, but also because it looks like a killer all-body workout. I know it’s trendy, but I think I would be into it. Also, horseback riding. I really, really want to do more of this over the summer. I think it will help with my anxiety and stress.

Sister conversations with Asher. There’s nothing better than a sister chit-chat. We could go on for hours.

My mom is going to kill me for adding this in, but how cute are my parents? I feel so lucky to have two loving parents who actually LOVE to be together. I know how rare that is, and man, I just love them both so much. They’re finally back home after a month of travel. It was so nice to get to give my dad a big hug; I needed it.

I feel so bad seeing your poor dad on his knees cleaning for you while you film and berate him. Girl, get on your own knees and clean your own mess.
Says she doesn’t use family for content, but films dad cleaning up her mess while she degrades him. She could hire someone to clean but I can’t imagine anyone would want to work in such a hostile environment. Tieghan, you’re 30! Clean up after yourself and practice that kindness you’re always preaching!

It would probably do wonders for his health if tieghan stopped making him get down on his hands and knees and clean up after her while she films him for content. This was the last straw for me.

Happy Sunday, Tieghan! Girl, I got “Coastal Grandma” on the quiz. After reading the description, I guess it’s kinda true. (I sure hate they didn’t have an Old Fashioned as the cocktail option…what’s with the snub to bourbon???) Anywho, I hope you have a LOVE FILLED Memorial Day weekend! Spend it with the ones you love, and give/receive a hug for the military families who can’t. I’ll be chilling with the hubs, maybe throw something on the grill, and watch movies with that BBQ snack mix. It looks good!

I did the interior design quiz and got ‘Coastal Grandma’. I would say coastal, yes that is definitely my style, but a bit more modern. I love having a few antique pieces to add character, but I love light and space.
The weather finally picked up here in the UK and it is so lovely to see the flowers blooming and fruit and vegetables coming along.
