(my favorite roses, Grace Rose Farm)

This is the first Mother’s Day I’ve ever actually spent without my mom. She’s with my dad, Asher, and a few of my brothers visiting my grandpa. She’s exactly where she should be, and I hope that it’s the sunniest, prettiest Mother’s Day for her!! But I do miss her greatly and wish I could give her a big hug today!

My mom is the most special to me. I say this every year, but there isn’t a person I value more in this world than my mom. She’s, of course, my mom, but she’s also my business partner. She drives me insane at times, but she is the woman I look up to most in this world. She’s taught me how to be a good, nice human being. To have good manners, treat everyone with the same amount of respect and kindness, value your family, work insanely hard, and everything else in between.

She’s a real gem, to say the least. My brothers and I are pretty lucky to be so blessed to have her as our mom. I hope she takes time today to soak in the sunshine. She told me that she’s really grateful to be able to have this time to spend with my grandpa and, of course, my dad and some of my siblings too. I also hope she gets to have the most amazing breakfast, which I have a good feeling Asher will help take care of. We’ve been plotting…

To all the moms reading today, I hope your day is spent just the way YOU want it. Pamper yourself, spend time with the people who bring you joy, and give yourself a pat on the back!

In other news, I returned from New York and was greeted with snow. I hesitate even to mention the weather because it’s been so bad that it’s just not anything anyone wants to hear about. All I will say is that I splurged on candles and flowers this week because snow and zero sunshine for a week straight is ROUGH.

However, I’m surviving, and at least it was a very productive (yet very long) week. This project that I’ve been working on is getting so close to completion. I see light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m excited. I’m excited to be done, but I’m even more excited to share all the details soon! I will say that I’ve never worked so hard on a project before; this one will be good!

Many of you have been asking when renovations will begin on our studio space and my house. The answer is so soon. The second I finish working on this project will be the second construction will start. And then I’ll be on the move. As to where I’m headed – well that is the question we are all wondering. I have a few options, so more to come on that front! It’s going to be somewhere different, but hopefully, it’s an exciting new challenge. Plus, summer is almost here, so change is on the horizon. Woohoo!

That is all for today! Have a wonderful Sunday, and to all the moms, enjoy your day!

1. Things i’m loving, wanting, and excited to try.

loving…ordering fresh flowers! They’ve been absolutely saving me this spring! If Popupflorist delivered to Colorado, I would order their fresh bouquets. I also love Fresh Sends, their packaging is so cute, and their bouquets are fun. These would be perfect to send for birthdays or as a thank-you! I also order florals from Terrain. I recently ordered this orange geum bunch – they’re cute! And I just saw they have peonies, so I ordered those up right now! Yay, can’t wait for them!

However, my favorite source is Grace Rose Farm. She has the most stunning garden roses. You can use the code HBH20 for 20% off your order! Gracie was so kind to offer that!

cooking from…Open Wide, Benny Blanco’s new cookbook. This is why I was in New York last week! But I finally got my copy of the book to have and hold for myself and it really is my favorite cookbook. The photos are amazing, and the recipes are even better. It’s fun and cute, and I really think you all will love it too!

everything in my cart (low)…Zara accessories are so fun! These fish earrings are great for days on the beach. I don’t think I could pull these off, but they’re so fun! I do think I could do the snail shell earrings. They’re a little less color, which is more my style.

Asher and I love this zippered shoulder bag, these are really cute denim shorts. I would style them these leather sandals and that shoulder bag. So cute!

listening to…Bryony Deery Pt. 2 – Health, Wellness, Diet, Beauty, Skincare, & Hacks. I’ve been following Bryony since her first appearance on the show. I love how she approaches her lifestyle.

ordering…thinking of ordering this Adidas tee. I think it’s a cute athletic look paired with denim on the bottom.

dreaming of going…Reschio Estate. So so so pretty! Reschio Estate is an ancient estate in the Italian countryside. They have these houses that my mom would LOVE. She is always looking for places like this that can accommodate our entire family. Maybe our next trip is Italy?

planning…fall travel. Stowe, Vermont, is on my list. So many cute places to stay from The Farm Home, to The Green Mountain Inn. I be shopping at The Farm Home Market Place in between viewing the fall leaves, apples, pumpkins, and eating at all the cute restaurants in town. Have you ever been?

ordering…this White Fruit Bowl from Etsy. So cute for summer berries!

wanting…everything for spring and summer from Cult Gaia. They have such fun pieces for warm weather!! Especially love the Cult Gaia accessories!

everything in my cart (beauty)…the NuFACE FIX Line Smoothing Device Starter Kit. Super curious to try this. I love anything that’s meant to help prevent those fine lines!

watching…Introducing Well, Well, Well… Featuring Kendall Jenner and Her Horse Arizona. This video scene is my dream. Like my dream. I need a horse you guys!

burning…MAR MAR Los Angeles candles. This brand is new to me. I found them on Nordstrom and love that they offer a hand-poured candle made with a GMO-free coconut oil and a cotton wick. Clean candles are a must for me. They offer 4 scents, the Saint Martin candle, North Scented candle, Other Desert Cities candle and Mono No Aware candle. I want to try them all, as they all sounds super intresting and unique.

And then, the Studio McGee Salt & Sea candle is a always a summer favorite. I need to order it now.

everything in my cart (high)…ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved dolphins, they’re so special. They also remind me of shopping in Florida with my Nonnie. So, of course, I love this Dolphin Family diamond necklace from Sydney Evan’s.

4. Everything from my AM Uncovered with Danielle.

Nine Favorite Things

Some of you may have seen this on Instagram, but I was invited to share my morning routine on Danielle’s AM Uncovered series. I had so much fun filming this in New York. Danielle is just as sweet in person as she is online. We had the best morning! I shared my morning supplement and skincare routine. Many of you have since asked for the product links.

Sharing them all below! This was so much fun! Let me know if you have questions. I love a good morning routine!

5. My Favorite Met Gala Looks.

This year’s Met Gala was one of my favorites. I loved the theme, The Garden of Time. Certainly one of my favorite Met themes to date. Anything with florals will always be high on my list! Asher and I (and even my mom) had fun chatting and gossiping over everyone’s looks. Wanted to share a few of my favorites!

(photo: Getty Images)

First, I think Kendall Jenner’s was my favorite. I know, no surprise. But I LOVED her Archival 1999 Givenchy gown, long hair, and makeup. I thought she was styled so beautifully.

Then, Gigi Hadid. She wore a Thom Browne gown and the detailing on the dress was stunning. But if you look at the sketches of the dress, the skirt is actually a coat. I LOVE it. And she looked so pretty.

(photo: Getty Images)

Elle Fanning in Balmain. I’m so in love with this look. You have to look close but her dress looks like Cinderella’s glass slipper. It’s not actually glass, but looks so similar. It’s STUNNING.

I loved both of Zendaya’s looks, but the second look was my favorite. It was Vintage Givenchy and simply stunning.

Taylor Russell’s Loewe dress was perfect.

And Asher really loved Tyla’s look too! It was a custom Balmain gown.

  1. A fab Sunday favourites, even if I’m only getting a chance to read it on a Thursday haha. My top 3 from this year’s Met Gala is
    1) Zendaya look 1 in Maison Margiela (loved the style of the dress). 2) Penelope Cruz in Chanel (loved this classic full ball gown) and 3) Kerry Washington in Oscar de la Renta (loved the trailing purple flowers on this gown and of course the colour).
    Hope you’re having a great week 🙂

    1. Hey Colleen,
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this week! Love reading your favorite looks from the Met Gala, thanks for sharing:) Hope you are having a great Thursday! xT

  2. Hi Tiegan! Love your blog. Love seeing your families vacation pics, I feel like they have been gone for months but enjoying every minute together. It’s a shame you couldn’t pull away from work to spend precious time with them. Just remember you only live once and work can WAIT, especially when you have the money to enjoy life and travel! A lot of us wish we had that financial freedom.

  3. I love Jessica Beal’s dress for the Met Gals. I thought she looked beautiful. I am sorry you weren’t able to spend Mother’s Day with your mom. It’s amazing that you have such a great relationship with her. Sadly, my mom passed 3 1/2 years ago. Mother’s Day was hard this coming Tuesday is her birthday. They were married 68 years and my dad, can’t get over the loss.

    1. Hey Amy,
Thanks so much for reading! I agree, Jessica’s dress was beautiful! I am so very sorry to hear about your mom, I can’t imagine how you must feel and I am sure Mother’s Day is a heavy day for you and your family. Wishing you all the best! xT

  4. Just here to disagree on Zendaya – I loved her first look better! Loved that shades of blue outfit. She can pull off anything though. Met Gala is fun to watch because everything’s so over the top.

Have a great week and hope spring finally comes for you!

    1. Hey Deborah,
Thanks so much for sharing, agree that Zendaya can wear just about anything!! Lol me too, praying for some warmer temps! Have a great Monday! xT

  5. Stowe, VT is truly spectacular in the fall. I’m from there and it’s my favorite time of year. You won’t be disappointed.
Love your recipes and your blog! I’m always making my family your food. Happy Sunday!!

    1. Hey Paige,
Happy Sunday and thanks for reading! I have heard amazing things about Vermont in the fall, my cousin Abby actually went to college there, thanks for sharing:) I hope you have a great week! xT

  6. Such a bummer not being able to spend Mothers day with your mom and the rest of your family! I didn’t realize your grandpa lived down in the Caribbean. We hear about your nonnie so often, but I don’t recall too many stores about him.
A Caribbean trip to visit your grandpa would have been the perfect escape from the snow! I’d definitely take advantage of trips like that if I ran my own business lol

    1. Hey Gina,
Thanks for reading today!! My grandpa actually doesn’t live in the Caribbean, he is just vacationing down there:) I have so many special stories and memories with my Nonnie because for the longest time, I was the only granddaughter, so we had a very special bond💕 Hope you are having a great Sunday! xT

  7. My brother lives in Leadville and sent me a pic from his yard during the snowstorm. I couldn’t believe it! There was a foot on the ground and it was still coming down hard. I actually told him about you and how you love to visit warm places because between the snow and mud season, you get burnt out on the mountain weather…and I don’t blame you! Glad you treated yourself to candles, flowers, and anything else you needed to feel warm and happy. Have a wonderful week and I hope the weather cooperates!

    1. Hey Jen,
Thanks so much for reading today! Lol ahhh yes, it was a little rough with that snow, I know how he feels:) The candles and flowers were definitely needed! Hope you are having a great Sunday! xT

  8. Happy Sunday, Tieghan! Happy Mother’s Day to your momma and all the mommas out there! Gigi Hadid’s dress is my FAVORITE!

    1. Hey Kerita,
Happy Sunday and thanks for reading!! Right?! It was so pretty! Hope you are having a great day and Happy Mother’s Day! xT
