25 of Dad’s Favorite Father’s Day Recipes. Father’s Day is just a couple of days away, so I thought a round-up of Father’s Day Recipes would be helpful for anyone planning their menus! There’s everything from great appetizers to dinner and, of course, some desserts too. A little something for all the amazing dads out there.
This post is a little on the late side, but I feel like Father’s Day is often planned more at the last minute. It’s not that we don’t love our dads just as much as our moms, but dads are dads. They don’t tend to want all the fuss, and they usually say they don’t need gifts. All they really want is to watch a game, go to the gym, maybe play some golf, putz around the yard, you know, “dad” stuff.
They don’t tend to want to go for brunch or a spa day – or at least that’s my dad! Regardless, our dads are still the most special, and they should be celebrated!
I’m such a dad’s girl. Growing up, my dad and I really butted heads. He didn’t really know what it was like to be around a girl. My dad had three brothers, no sisters, and then three sons ahead of me. He was kind of lost with a little girl.
But over time and lots of wearing him down, I cracked him, and he’s the best dad a girl could ask for. Asher and I (and, of course, my brothers) are so lucky. There’s no one like my dad. He’s the most special, the most caring, the biggest softy, and the kindest guy you’ll meet. He has a lot of quirks, he makes the best tacos and pasta dishes, and he’s always got my back! Honestly, he’s kind of like an Alan Jackson song, Small Town Southern Man (except he’s not southern).
Below are some of his hand-selected favorite recipes. Enjoy!!
